Seoul
Had the day to explore Seoul today. I found a very beautiful temple right near the hotel, then took the metro downtown and walked around the asian spectacle of consumption, and then got lunch. Luckily we had Rie (Japanese girl) who has been here many times before and knew how to navigate. Then we went to a palace that I forget the name of and saw the changing of the guards. Next we went up away from the city into the hills to a very peaceful buddhist temple.

I like the contrast between the new and the old. It looks as if people have thrown coins at those statues....the heavy artillery that brought down all buddha statues
